Vandersanden S.A. has 2 production units at its headquarters in Spouwen. Ceratec provided the centralization of its clay stock via 11 boxes 10 m high x 10 wide x 45 m long, which are optimally filled along 2 bridges. Both the clay brought in by truck and the prepared clay are dumped into these storage boxes.
- The trucks unload their clay into large receiving hoppers, which transport the clay to the storage area.
- The clay is optimally processed in the central clay preparation plant before being stored. The clay preparation plant is equipped with a Händle HMi2170c grinding mill and a Händle WF10120e finishing mill.
- The production flow is supervised by a central computer and communicated to the ERP system.
- The raw material is removed from the boxes by a shovel and transported to the central clay preparation and the 2 production lines.
This project is part of a complete reorganization of logistics around the Spouwen plant, covering both the flow and storage of raw materials and finished products.
With its new facilities, Vandersanden proves its philosophy of innovating with new products.
