Automated distribution center

With this project, we replaced the manual storage racks with an automated accumulation solution. As a result, the customer can now store almost twice as many pallets on the same surface area, with optimized logistics organization.

Ceratec managed the project for our customer and supplied the following installations:

• Pallet infeed and outfeed conveyors interface between the warehouse and forklift operators.
• 6-storey pallet conveyor system.
• 3 elevators to allow pallets to enter/exit the store, and 2D shuttles (from our partner Stow) to change level according to flow.
• Pallet gauge control and barcode reading.
• Rejection line for non-conforming pallets.
