At TVH, 4 pallet cranes have been installed, along with 6 ergonomic order-picking stations (goods-to-man), each equipped with an elevator, which automatically raises euro pallets to a comfortable height for operators.
The double-deep pallet trucks offer storage space for over 5,000 europallets, with optimum distribution of availability thanks to the interaction of various IT systems between TVH and Ceratec.
A carousel shuttle connects the pallet trucks to the workstations. These are 15 carts that follow a central rail and can transfer pallets to conveyors.
These in turn link up with the supply and removal points of the workstations, and the loading and unloading points of the forklift trucks.
Each pallet offered to the system is checked for data, weight, dimensions and other parameters, and if necessary automatically slaved if the quality of the pallet is unsatisfactory, after which it is perfectly tracked blind throughout the intralogistics flow and the warehouse.
In addition to optimizing ergonomics for users, both in operation and in goods handling, various safety systems have also been integrated.
The extension to 12 cranes, with the corresponding extension of the existing carrousel, with additional shuttles has been ordered by TVH and is in full development.
A link is also made with Ceratec’s 4 AGVs, which not only move pallets autonomously 24/7 between different departments, but also automatically offer pallets to picking tables or high-rise buildings from sorting zones further away from the plant.
TVH also relies on Ceratec’s after-sales service for all aspects of maintenance on high cranes, shuttles and AGVs.
Another example of how Ceratec develops a lasting relationship with its customer TVH as a reliable partner.
