Ceratec’s Electrical Installations division was commissioned to modernize the technical infrastructure of “Le Generator,” a historic attraction at Walibi Rhône-Alpes originally installed in 1987. The primary objective was to address equipment obsolescence and enhance operational safety while maintaining the ride’s original characteristics.
Technical Scope of Work
The engineering team managed a complete retrofit of the attraction’s electrical and command systems. The scope of supply included:
-
Automation and Control: Replacement of the legacy system with a modern automated control solution. This involved the design and installation of a new main electrical cabinet.
-
Cabling: Complete renewal of the electrical cabling throughout the structure to ensure long-term reliability.
-
Operator Interfaces: Installation of a modern control panel (pupitre) for daily operations, coupled with a dedicated remote control system to facilitate maintenance procedures for technical staff.
Safety and Timing
A key component of this project was the optimization of safety protocols to meet current standards. The project was executed under a strict timeline, ensuring the attraction was fully commissioned and ready for the high season opening.
This project highlights Ceratec’s expertise in industrial revamping and its ability to adapt complex electrical solutions to the specific constraints of the leisure and amusement park industry.
