The new photovoltaic system commissioned on the flat roof of the Ghent fire station deploys 244 modules rated at 470 W each, delivering a total peak capacity of 114.68 kWp.
Mounted on a dual east–west structure tilted at 12.5°, the panels cover roughly 1,600 m² and provide consistent output throughout the day. A 110 kVA three-phase inverter converts the energy produced and feeds it into the site’s low-voltage network.
Grid impact studies and remote monitoring ensure AREI compliance and accurate energy tracking. At full load, the system is expected to generate nearly 300 MWh per year, covering a significant share of the station’s electricity needs.
