Robots provide discharge and 3D recognition of more than 100 different roof tiles and accessories
Integration of a robot cell for the removal of roof tiles from the press and the placement of those roof tiles and accessories on a drying plate.
Specifically here:
- It concerns more than 100 different roof tiles and accessories and this at a cadence of 1200 pieces per hour.
- The top mold or nozzle of the press is automatically replaced, removing this heavy work (which had to be done several times per shift) for the operators and making everything safer and more efficient
A second installation with 2 robots and a 3D camera is used to visualize every piece that is produced. This is done through imaging based on 300,000 points per roof tile in order to position the product perfectly in the space. This allows the robots to take the roof tiles from the drying plate, even if the plates or tiles are tilted, and place them at the correct angle on the next conveyor.
