At TVH, 4 pallet cranes were installed along with 6 ergonomic (goods to man) picking stations, each equipped with a lift, which automatically raise the euro pallets to a comfortable height for the operators.

The pallet cranes (double deep) provide the storage space for more than 5000 euro pallets with an optimal spread of availability, due to the interplay of various IT systems between TVH and Ceratec.

The connection of the pallet cranes to the workstations is provided by a shuttle carousel. These are 15 trolleys that follow a central rail and can transfer the pallets to conveyors.

These in turn make the connection to the supply and removal locations of work stations and loading and unloading positions for forklift trucks.

Every pallet that is offered to the system is checked for data, weight, dimensions and other parameters, and possibly automatically slaved if the quality of the pallet is not satisfactory, after which it is blindly tracked throughout the entire intralogistics flow and warehouse.

In addition to optimizing the ergonomics for the users, both in operation and handling of goods, various safety systems have also been integrated.

The expansion to 12 pallet cranes, with the corresponding expansion of the existing carousel, with extra shuttles was ordered by TVH and is in full development.

A link is also made with Ceratec's 4 AGVs, so that they not only move pallets autonomously 24/7 between the different departments, but also automatically offer pallets to the picking tables or high-rise buildings from sorting zones further away from the installation.

TVH also calls on Ceratec's after-sales service for maintenance in all its facets for high-rise cranes, shuttles and AGVs.
