Kloosterboer constructed an Automatic High-bay Warehouse (AHV) for McCain France in Harnes.

Kloosterboer contracted Ceratec for assistance for the 3-phase electricity installation and the transport of finished products from the production department to the cold-storage freezer 160 metres away. Ceratec solved this problem with a fully automated Ceratrain, which operates day and night, replacing 3 trucks and 3 drivers per shift. The Ceratrain travels at 2.5 m/s on rails with rotating bogies and transports 80 pallets every hour: this corresponds to about 900 tonnes per day.

• Fast-closers front and rear
• Electrical power supplied via a cable spool system
• 2-sided transport possible
• Operates day and night
• Works completely autonomously

Interesting detail: In order to drive from the production department to the cold-storage freezer, the Ceratrain has to negotiate three curves and an incline.
