At our headquarters in Ploegsteert, 16 charging stations<\/strong> have recently been activated, with 32 charging points<\/strong> spread over 3 locations on the site. The necessary groundwork was carried out at the end of last year.<\/p>\n

The infrastructure is available not only for Ceratec’s electric vehicles and private staff cars, but also, after extension, for everyone else.<\/p>\n

Lead by example<\/h3>\n

Over the next few years, hundreds of thousands of electric vehicles will be on the road, requiring the construction of the necessary infrastructure, and Ceratec has all the necessary skills.<\/p>\n

It was written in the stars that we, as an electrical company, would also install a charging station on our own site.<\/p>\n

We already<\/strong> have 8 electric cars<\/strong> on the road. This number will triple<\/strong> this year, and increase tenfold<\/strong> over the next few years. We’re also looking at different options for our (light) vans, and there are now almost 65 of them! That’s not a problem in itself. Because balancing and overload protection allow us to increase the number of charging points.<\/p>\n

Intelligent total solution<\/h3>\n

We chose the Belgian company Smappee <\/a>as our partner because they offer a total solution. Not only did they supply the 16 semi-public EV-Base charging stations (2 x22 kW), but we also used their charging management platform<\/strong>. This allows us to add priority tariffs and discounts, track charging points in real time, define tariffs for external users, etc.<\/p>\n

Self-sufficiency<\/h3>\n

With dynamic load balancing, we also maximize the use of solar energy to charge electric cars throughout the day.<\/p>\n

To achieve this, we use our own 250 kWp photovoltaic system, equivalent to the consumption of over 70 families.<\/p>\n

Easy to use<\/h3>\n

Drivers of electric or hybrid vehicles (EV drivers) simply need to install and register the Smappee application.
