In this way, we are playing a small but crucial role in the future development of unmanned navigation with automated ships.<\/p>\n<p>SEAFAR captains manage ships remotely from their shore-based control center. They manage up to three ships at a time, 80% of which are autonomous, with only a few crew members remaining on board for maintenance, berthing, loading and unloading.
