BMI once again confirms its confidence in Ceratec, entrusting it with this major project to modify its existing production unit.
The project includes the supply, assembly and commissioning of the rack handling circuit, the handling of Us cassettes and the handling of green and dry roof tiles.
The RAT conveyor receives tiles from 2 presses with 3 molds, with particular positioning accuracy given the many different tile formats to be placed on the same rack. The high peak output of 88 tiles/min and the odd number of tiles per rack necessitate a solution involving the angular transfer of empty and loaded racks by a gripper moving with 4 degrees of freedom.
The disadvantage of limited space for loading Us cassettes has been elegantly resolved by the integration of a loading robot that also rotates and collects half-packs of tiles, before feeding them into the U with great precision. The system also makes it possible to handle the entire range of tiles with a minimum of mechanical adaptations when changing products.
The transfer conveyor and automatic depositing cart for transporting chassis to and from the chamber dryer have also been renewed.
